With a heavy heart, we must announce that our interim director Edwin Ordonez sadly passed away on August 2, 2022.

A vigil will be held at the Danbury War Memorial today, August 3rd at 7:00 PM.

He was loved and adored by the Greater Danbury area, and his 17 years of service made the Danbury War Memorial what it is today.

We have all lost a major piece of the Danbury War Memorial family.

Edwin leaves behind his wife, and a baby daughter of 4 months.

The wake will be on Tuesday, 3:00 PM to 6:30 PM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church on 29 Golden Hill Road, Danbury CT 06811.

The funeral will be held on Wednesday, 10:00 AM again at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church on 29 Golden Hill Rd, Danbury CT 06811.

This will then be followed to St. Peter’s Cemetery.

Please try to attend if you’re able to. Edwin was a big part of the DWM Family, and he is sorely missed.
